President Lee Jae Myung stressed the importance of universal human rights while speaking about the war in the Middle East, Tuesday, amid controversy over his social media post that Israel perceived as trivializing the Holocaust.
His reiteration comes as the controversy continues, drawing strong backlash from Israel and criticism from the opposition bloc, which described his post as “a diplomatic blunder” that goes against “national interest.”

Media & right-wing backlash against the criticism by Lee Jae-myung on Israel is quite strong.
I think this is Lee indirectly expressing his great frustration with the Iran War. It is EXTREMELY unusual for a South Korean leader to express a strong opinion a conflict not directly involving Korea, and the fact that he’s saying something at all really means something.
The entire world’s (including Korea’s) energy supply is being held hostage in a war fought for Israeli interests. Europe is already increasingly loud with its criticism of Israel, and soon the only ally in the free world Israel will have will be the Epstein regime.
Why do people feel the compulsive need to bring up the holocaust when talking about Israel. It is not like there aren’t plenty of other atrocities to choose from
One criticism of Israel, and people forget he’s a corrupt Ruzzian supporter and shills for the PRC. Suddenly he’s a saint.
