Morocco used to be (and still is) a country with a large diaspora across Europe. But with the massive drop in birth rate, Morocco’s population is going to decrease alongside Tunisia. Algeria and Egypt’s population will double this century. This sub usually mostly shares Western articles, but many of the relatively stable countries in the global south will be joining the developed world in population sepuku. I wanted to share this as an example. This also means Algeria will be the dominant North African country now.

I think it’s good that Morocco is increasingly urbanized/developing, and now accept West African migrants. And soon West Africa will be developed too, and accept Central African ones.
