  1. “People have asked me why I don’t just drop the price again, but I refuse to give my home away cheaply just because of the ridiculous economic climate we’re in, with a Government that fails to support hard-working people. They incentivise first-time buyers, but what about the people who want to move their families into bigger homes? And the ones like me who are desperate to downsize? Where is our help?”

Of course she could continue lowering the price. There does seem to be a bit of mis-matched expectations. Everyone wants their house to appreciate, but like any investment, it might not. My mom barely made anything—maybe a few thousand extra—when she downsized in great-lakes-steeltown-US. 🤷‍♀️

I’m just stuck in my home drinking red wine waiting for someone to give me $1 million dollars before I die.

    My tongue is purple!

She just needs some more help guys after her hardship of buying a house and having it appreciate beyond what any normal person today can afford. I mean she could drop the price so she could sell but that wouldn’t be fair. Why should she take less money when she only has like $700K in equity?

  6. Either sell it cheaper or don’t. Moaning that you aren’t getting help, while clearly being an affluent woman, is taking the absolute piss.

This also reveals why boomers are so self-defeating. She wants a smaller home and that is sensible. I wonder why those smaller homes don’t exist near her? I would be desperately curious to know how many planning applications in her area have been declined.

Lady. Price too big. No buyer. Sell for less. Make money. Stop whining

  8. I am trapped in my <2.5% interest rate. Never going to be able to afford to downsize….
