As US high court prepares ruling, Americans oppose ending birthright citizenship, Reuters/Ipsos poll finds

    Summary: As the court decision on birthright citizenship looms, it is nice to take a look at what Americans think about the topic. This article shows that:
    1. 32% of Americans support ending birthright citizenship and 64% oppose ending it

    2. 62% of republicans support ending it, and 36% oppose ending it

    3. 9% of democrats support ending it, and 90% oppose ending it

    4. 26% of independents support ending it, and 66% oppose ending it.

    5. 39% of white people support ending it, and 58% oppose ending it

    6. 19% of black people support ending it, and 74% oppose ending it

    7. 22% of hispanic people support ending it, and 74% oppose ending it

    Why is this relevant to arr Neoliberal: It is important to take a look at who supports what and how those categories shape up. I think it is important to note that this ending birthright citizenship is supported by most republicans, but other than that group, just about everyone else opposes it, including independents by a large margin. Please note that the margin of error is 2 percentage points.
