My surprise level remains right at zero when anyone mentions an industry featuring children in public facing roles, and said children winding up writing memoirs about being trafficked. But past that, Disney has always been kind of dark. You’ve got princesses who get sedated, orphans learning to steal, and this wooden kid movie with a truckload of unusual imagery. The whole thing is just kind of greasy like someone left a cheap air freshener running way too long.

    > The suspects were not identified. Officials said they included 26 crew members from the Philippines, one from Portugal and one from Indonesia.

They must have really scraped the bottom of the barrel for their crew, what the hell.

I don’t know why but the fact that they’re immigrants makes me angrier. Like it confirms they’re people who take advantage of others.

But this is really disturbing to think that these numbers of predators could get jobs so close to children and in roles where they have power, especially at sea.
