Submission statement: Polish President Karol Nawrocki explicitly ruled out using immigration to fix the country’s demographic crisis, warning that western-style migration policies only cause social unrest. Instead, the administration is doubling down on pro-natalist family policies, even though cash payouts have an awful track record of actually reversing plunging fertility rates.

Obama in 2008 called Education the Civil Rights Issue of our time. I think that maybe the single most wrong that obama has ever been in his entire career. Not only has the left completely lost the moral foundation and ownership of progress on the issue of education, but it has become abundantly clear since the refugee crisis that the single greatest threat to people’s civil rights and the single greatest cause of segregation of the nations of the earth is the vicious and jealous enforcement of the national border as the last acceptable form of racial segregation on earth. The banal cruelty of the west’s kafkaesque residency law rooted in deep psychological fear of people who look different even in otherwise egalitarian people looking paranoid for “cultural incompatibilities” to justify them, could not remain hidden forever in the age of globalized information, and the only way to kill the immigration issue is to cut the wires leading out of the country and close your eyes and ears to the screams on the other side of your fence while your society slowly erodes into an open air geriatric care unit.

Maybe I’ve been watching too many neil blomkamp movies but its absolutely insane how salient the issue of permission to reside in a wealthy nation has become to the point of justifying dystopian decline and authoritarian state policy, and yet the rise of this closed wall consensus across the west continues unabated. I’m lucky my grandfather got here before the door shut.

  3. >Instead, argued Nawrocki, “the solution lies in…a clear focus on the Polish family”. We must “promote the idea that family is the most important thing; this is our Polish response to the demographic crisis”.

His party tried this for about 10 years while in power. Poland has now one of the lowest birthrates in Europe.
