As the world suffers a wave of populism, it’s nice to remember that the one good thing about stupid policy is that it’s partially self correcting. Any sufficiently stupid government will shoot itself in the foot enough time to make its grander goals difficult to achieve. Maybe after 20 more years of MAGA governance they’ll manage reinvent most of the policies they scrapped from first principles. 🥰
This sub also likes health policy, so it’s nice to have another reminder that vaccines are one of the best health inventions of the modern era. The “Finding Out” phase comes real fast when only 40% of your recruits are getting vaccinated. I suppose if bombs won’t take down the IRGC, Hegseth can always deploy RFK Jr. as part of Operation Nurgle.
