    Can’t wait for the people in these towns to then blame their continued economic woes on immigrants still, somehow.

  2. If you follow Canadian politics at all, you know why this happened. It started before he was even in office with Trudeau, changing which jobs would qualify for express entry.

    Mine was one of them. “Luckily”, I am in a long term relationship and we were planning on getting married anyway, but even then it’s still stressful.

    The simple fact is the provincial and federal governments bungled Canada generous immigration program of the last 5-10 years and it soured the majority of the country on immigration.

    There is legit reasons as well, housing and Infrastructure could not keep up with demand. There was no plan for how Canada would deal with millions of new people need access to housing, healthcare, and transportation

    It turned Canada heavily towards a real estate economy, which is simply a horrible thing to build your economy on.

    All the while Canada still doesn’t have intrerprovencial free trade or licensing.
